Job Title: Fertilizer Plant Supervisor Location: Doland Agronomy Division: Agronomy Reports to: Location Manager Position Objectives: The Fertilizer Plant Supervisor will work to direct, promote, and coordinate operations and logistics in a manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service. Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the company and a favorable image of the company.
Responsible for all logistics and operations/maintenance within the fertilizer plant
Supervision involves establishing and communicating fertilizer needs, parts/maintenance, and any additional needs to location manager
Expected to be involved with month-end inventory management, sales/product invoicing
Ability to work as a member of a team with the other location and company employees
Working closely with Location Manager on asset utilization
Attend and represent FCA sponsored events and industry events to represent FCA and gain insights to drive the company’s success
Model and demonstrate goal commitment and persistence
Maintain highest level of customer service in all interactions
Set an example of personal integrity and ethical practice, which provides a desirable standard of conduct for all company personnel
Work safely in conjunction with Company safety policies company wide
Attend or assign staff to participate in monthly safety meetings
Enforce and uphold company safety program and credit policy.
Qualifications:
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office software and the Internet
3 years of Agronomy/Ag related experience and/or combination of education/experience
Supervisory experience preferred
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proven professional communication, presentation, persuasion, and customer service skills
Physical Demands:
Must be available to work hours beyond those considered normal.
Ability to work in dusty and sometimes loud environments
Able to use and operate company cell phone and hands-free devices
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
